The Senate is poised to consider a comprehensive package of critical legislation to improve policies and resources to address the addiction crisis facing our nation. This legislative package includes a full range of strong provisions including prevention, treatment, recovery support, overdose reversal, and research components necessary to respond to the opioid epidemic.

Of interest to CADCA members, this package includes provisions to reauthorize the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), along with its two programs, Drug Free Communities (DFC) and High Intensity Drug Tracking Area (HIDTA) for an additional five years.
