The Spartanburg Teen Impact Council (STIC), formerly known as the Youth Advisory Board, is a volunteer group consisting of dedicated young people from local high schools throughout Spartanburg County. These students promote the ideas of healthy and productive lifestyles through peer leadership, role modeling, and community presentations. Prevention Resource Center

Tobacco/Alcohol Compliance
The TAC Team is comprised of law enforcement, prevention specialists, and volunteers who work to reduce youth access to tobacco and alcohol through education and the enforcement of laws.
Merchant Education
The Palmetto Retailers Education Program (PREP) is a merchant education program approved by the S.C. Department of Revenue and S.C. Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services. This curriculum provides managers and servers/sellers of alcohol and/or tobacco with the knowledge and skills to comply with state laws as they relate to alcohol and tobacco sales. A PREP participant at The Forrester Center will receive:
A 3-5 hour training by a certified instructor, either on-site or at The Forrester Center
Program materials and manuals for each participant
Training on current state laws, how to spot a fake ID, and liability issues
2-year Merchant Education certification

South Carolina Tobacco Education Program (TEP)
TEP is a youth-focused program designed to educate youth on the dangers of tobacco, including the negative impact on health, finances, and quality of life.
